Fun Websites for Distance Learning 

With schools being closed for quite some time, parents are left wondering what they will do to continue teaching their children. Many parents, including myself, are wondering how on earth we will find the time to manage working from home and teaching at the same time. 

Add more then one child to the mix and you're in for quite a ride! Many educators online have come together to offer parents and students continued distant learning resources at no cost!

I have done my homework for you and gathered a couple of websites that are offering great learning opportunities for children of all ages. 

1. BrainPop  created by Dr. Avraham Kadar is a great website for students and it is now free to sign up. This website is great for students who enjoys watching short clips on many different topics ranging from science to math and technology. 

2. Highlights Kids offers children a variety of activities to engage in at home and even recipes to make!  

3. PBS Learning Media has many great videos on different subjects and for different grade levels.

4. Nat Geo 4 Kids Does your child love animals and science? This website is perfect for any animal lover and parents can utilize the videos as a part of a writing assignment. You can also download worksheets.

5. Boom Learning I love this website for students who like interactive games. This website offers different types of interactive task cards on pretty much any topic. 

6. TeacherspayTeachers is a great website that offers many different academic resources for any grade level. Resources are made by educators and some of offered for free! 

7. Scholastic Learn at Home offers free resources for parents to use at home with their children. They provide 20 days of active learning activities from grades Prek-9th grade 

8. GoNoodle is great for the active little ones. This website has many great dance videos that gets kids moving and groovin! 

9. Kids Discover is free to sign up and offers web based learning on different topics ranging from space, life science, and the human body.

10. Dreamscape is a website that is dedicated to helping build strong readers!
